Eastern Wind Reiki
Just for today: do not anger, do not worry, be filled with gratitude, work diligently, and be kind to others.
I am a certified Okuden practitioner of Komyo ReikiDo. My teacher is Dana Young, who studied with Hyakuten Inamoto.
Reiki is a practice that originated in Japan in the early twentieth century by a man named Mikao Usui. It is a very simple practice of laying on hands to encourage a sense of well-being, peace, and self-healing.
The term Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) was a term used by Usui-Sensei, which essentially means “miraculous, sacred energy of the Universe”. Reiki is the vital energy, or love, that binds and animates all living creatures on earth.
A Reiki practitioner is someone who has been trained and attuned to facilitate the clear flow of this energy in others. While Reiki is not intended to treat or cure illness, it has been shown to increase well-being and inner peace, which can encourage healing on a physical or emotional level. A Reiki practitioner is a caring assistant who holds space for a recipient with the intentional mindset of encouraging his or her innate ability to self-heal.
